INTELLINGENT BUILDING FOR A BETTER TOMORROW

Objective:
To build a real structure out of green materials, on a realistic budget to showcase local resources under less than ideal situations.  The “Real House,” will utilize wind power, water conservation technologies, energy efficient wall panels, windows, and more renewable technologies.  This project is our gauge for future success.  A wind powered home built not on a hill and not in the open fields free of obstructions.  This structure is built in the woods.  Coexisting with nature, by nature, for nature.  Join us and watch this project grow for the next ten years.

The Plan:

The Woods Wind Energy Project is a practical research tool for a sustainable responsible building in a northern climate.  The project will be monitored for utility consumption and data logged for the world to see for a period of no less than ten years.
Watch the area’s most skilled construction technicians, builders, and cooperatives working together to make your world a better place.

Advertising & Marketing

The Residential Green Research Project- WOODS WIND is an interactive research and training model  of Green/Sustainable building practices for Rochester and Surrounding Communities.  The scope of the project is to showcase sustainable building practices that are affordable, efficient, and practical for the Upper Midwest.  The project will begin advertising with the site yard signs, large site project sign, and a full website detailing the project and its growth over the next ten years.

Events:

The WOODS WIND Project will host several public open events to showcase the technology going into this unique project, as well as many technical training events for trades and building professionals.

Media Recording:

The interest in the WOODS WIND Project is expected to continue from ground breaking all the way to year number ten.  The project will be recorded in HDTV for media works and broadcasts.  Local, Regional, and National Media will be invited to cover this Green Build.  Project Status Updates will be available upon request.
